       Another problem in the west, according to Xu, is the abuse of sex and the lack of love. Xu Yuanzhong has translated some love poems in ancient China with the hope that the West understands more about the true love in the East.

        Example 3:
             死生契阔，
            与子成说。
             执子之手，
            与子偕老。
        Meet or part, love or die
       We' ve made oath, you and I
       Give me your hand I' 11 hold!
       And live with me till old.

      The poem teaches people to cherish the true love and make it everlasting. 
      The world culture in the new century will be a blending one of the Eastern and the Western cultures. Both cultures have its advantage and disadvantage.  For the translators, it is their obligations to introduce the best of their culture to the whole world. By the two poems above, Xu Yuanzhong wishes that he could introduce to the West the essence of the Chinese culture, to ease violence with peace and integrate sex with love.
